This is a mandatory event. We will be doing quite a bit at the mock contest so it is important that everyone is there. The second mock contest will be more of a dress rehearsal than the first mock contest. Students will stay seated and come up to the front when called. We will be trying to practice our botclient usage, starting procedure, and on-deck scheme. We will also be taking team photos and taking robot photos at the mock contest. (If you are planning on doing more robot decorating after the mock contest that is fine but it is your responsibility to come to us and get us to take an updated robot photo). Students are also required to send us an email by Tuesday 6 PM which has the following pieces of information
These will go in the program along with your robot photograph. You can work on this while you are watching other teams compete.
Logistics for the contest:
Your team should have different team members for the following tasks
- robot handler. puts robot on playing field and starts it
- bot client handler. gives robot IP to staff for the bot client
- speaker. with the MC, explains robot behaviors to the audience
